Hello Ilya,

I loved your papr by the way . It really gave us a glimpse of life in Gibralter at the time.

I was wondering ifyou might be able to point me in the right direction with my research. Captain Charles Horneck of the Third Regiment of Foot fought a duel with a Frenchman called Morande in 1777 and attended a Court Martial afterwards  and was aquitted of behaving like an officer and a gentleman. This is rtather interesting sing duelling was illegal. Do you know where I might look for more details other than the press? There is nothing in the regimental archives. Best Wishes Moira
